About this session

HR teams produce and process enormous amounts of information.

They answer recurring employee questions, draft policies and communications, prepare manager guidance, review workforce feedback, coordinate onboarding, research emerging topics and turn complex people information into material others can actually use.

AI can support much of that work — but People functions also handle some of the organization's most sensitive information and consequential decisions.

Participants begin by separating useful AI assistance from inappropriate delegation. Generating a first draft of an onboarding guide is fundamentally different from asking AI to decide who should be hired.

Summarizing de-identified employee-feedback themes is different from using AI to infer an individual employee's attitude, health or future performance. The session creates clear practical distinctions rather than treating all HR AI use as equally low-risk or high-risk.

The session then explores everyday applications.

Participants use AI to structure policies, simplify employee guidance, create FAQs, draft communications, organize approved information, prepare manager resources, compare documents and help synthesize appropriately de-identified workforce feedback.

The emphasis remains on producing stronger HR work rather than generating more content for its own sake.

Finally, participants build a practical HR AI approach. They identify where sensitive information, employee impact, fairness or employment decisions require stronger controls and where lower-risk AI assistance can reduce unnecessary administrative effort.

The goal is an HR function that can use AI confidently where it helps while remaining unmistakably human where judgment, trust and accountability matter most.

  • Protect confidential and sensitive employee information when selecting tools and inputs
  • Recognize where fairness, privacy, employee impact or decision consequence require stronger human review
  • Build practical AI-assisted HR workflows around quality and employee experience rather than automation volume
