About this session

Hearing and vision shape communication, concentration, balance, confidence and participation in everyday life.

Changes can develop gradually, which means people may adapt their routines without realizing how much additional effort they are using to follow conversations, read information, move through unfamiliar spaces or work comfortably.

In this practical session, participants explore common hearing and vision changes, workplace factors that can make them harder to manage and everyday habits that may help protect sensory health.

The facilitator guides participants through communication strategies, environmental adjustments and preparation for routine checks without presenting every change as an inevitable part of aging.

The session supports early action while maintaining clear clinical boundaries. Participants leave with practical adjustments they can use immediately and a personal plan for protecting hearing, vision and confidence over time.

Hearing and vision changes can affect communication, daily tasks and social participation, while routine eye care and protection from excessive noise can support earlier identification and prevention.

This session provides general hearing, vision and healthy-aging education. It does not test hearing or eyesight, diagnose sensory loss, interpret examination results or recommend individual treatment or devices.

Sudden hearing loss, sudden vision loss, new severe visual disturbance, eye injury or other rapid and concerning changes should receive appropriate professional assessment. Participants are not required to disclose personal medical or sensory information.
