About this session

The liver performs hundreds of interconnected jobs. It processes nutrients after digestion, stores and releases energy, makes bile, produces important proteins and helps the body process medicines, alcohol and metabolic by-products.

Because much of this work happens quietly, liver health is easy to ignore until a blood test, scan or health assessment raises a question.

Liver problems can also develop without dramatic early symptoms. That makes prevention less about waiting until the liver 'feels unhealthy' and more about understanding the major patterns that can place it under pressure.

These include metabolic dysfunction, alcohol exposure, viral hepatitis, selected medicines and supplements and other individual health factors.

Liver Health 101 gives participants a current, nonjudgmental foundation.

They learn about metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, or MASLD, without reducing it to body weight; explore alcohol as one possible liver-health factor without assuming every liver problem is alcohol-related; and strengthen their ability to question medicines, supplements and liver-cleanse claims without independently changing prescribed treatment.

Longer formats turn this knowledge into practical prevention.

Participants build sustainable food, movement and recovery habits, examine work patterns that make healthy routines harder, understand what liver blood tests and imaging can — and cannot — tell them and prepare more confidently for healthcare conversations.

The goal is not to diagnose liver disease or follow a special liver diet. It is to understand the organ, reduce avoidable risk and know when general wellbeing advice should give way to professional assessment.
