About this session
Pregnancy can change appetite, taste, digestion, energy, hydration needs, and tolerance for foods — sometimes from one week to the next.
Add commuting, meetings, fixed breaks, long shifts, workplace food, and limited access to a kitchen, and eating well can become much more complicated than simply following a healthy diet.
This practical session helps participants work through real pregnancy-at-work situations: morning nausea, food aversions, eating little and often, packing suitable meals and snacks, staying hydrated, managing heartburn or constipation through everyday food choices, navigating workplace catering, and understanding which foods and nutrients need particular attention during pregnancy.
The session also covers the key nutritional foundations of pregnancy, including folate/folic acid, iron, calcium, vitamin D, iodine, protein, omega-3 fats, and vitamin B12 where relevant, while keeping supplementation and individual medical needs within appropriate professional guidance.
The emphasis is on flexibility. There is no expectation that pregnancy nutrition looks identical every day, every trimester, or for every person.
