About this session
Strength, balance and mobility influence far more than exercise. They affect how comfortably people climb stairs, carry shopping, recover from illness, move through the workplace and remain independent as they age.
In this practical session, participants explore how muscle strength and physical capability can change over time, try adaptable movements and identify realistic ways to remain active without relying on intense workouts or complicated equipment.
The facilitator connects strength with balance, bone health, joint confidence, recovery and ordinary working-life demands.
The session is inclusive of different ages, abilities and starting points. Participants leave with practical movements, progression options and a personal plan they can adapt around busy, disrupted or lower-energy weeks.
This session provides general movement and healthy-aging education. It does not diagnose muscle loss, balance disorders, neurological conditions or joint problems, and it does not replace physiotherapy, rehabilitation or individualized exercise prescription.
Participants can adapt or observe any activity. New weakness, repeated falls, significant pain, dizziness or a marked loss of physical capability should be discussed with an appropriate healthcare professional.
