Date September 24, 2026By WorkblissUpdated October 19, 2026

What’s happening

A Unions NSW survey (union research) found workers give an average 7.8 hours of unpaid overtime a week, 88% regularly work past paid hours, and 78% fear their career would suffer if they refused. Unions are pushing for a fifth week of annual leave.

What to do

Use workload and hours data to find burnout hotspots before the right-to-disconnect and psychosocial rules turn them into complaints.
