California 'No Robo Bosses Act' restrictions on AI discipline and firing
What’s happening
SB 947 bars California employers from relying solely on an automated decision system to discipline or fire workers. When AI is the primary basis, a human must review the decision and the worker must get notice; the law also bans using such systems to infer protected traits or to retaliate.
