Massachusetts EEO-1 workforce data report due to the state
What’s happening
Employers with 100 or more Massachusetts employees that file EEO-1 reports with the EEOC must also file them with the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth under the state's pay transparency law. The two-day cure period for defective filings ended Oct 29, 2026, and penalties escalate from a warning to fines of up to $500 and then $1,000.
What to do
Submit your most recent EEO-1 through the state portal by February 1 and check that Massachusetts job postings include pay ranges.
