About this session
AI can remove a surprising amount of friction from customer service work. It can summarize long case histories, retrieve relevant information, help structure a response, translate content, identify recurring themes and reduce the time agents spend switching between systems.
But speed alone does not create good service. A fast answer that is wrong, insensitive, out of policy or based on incomplete context can create more work than it saves.
Participants begin by identifying where AI can genuinely improve the service workflow. They distinguish repetitive cognitive work that can be accelerated from situations that still require empathy, judgment, negotiation, exception handling or human accountability.
Rather than asking whether an entire role can be automated, the team asks a more useful question: which parts of the customer journey can become easier, faster or more consistent without reducing service quality?
The session then moves into practical AI-assisted service work. Participants explore how approved AI tools can help summarize conversations, prepare case notes, locate knowledge, draft or improve responses, adapt tone, create multilingual first drafts and support triage.
They learn how to give AI enough context to be useful while avoiding unnecessary customer data and how to verify outputs before they influence a customer interaction.
The final part focuses on operating AI responsibly at team level.
Participants examine where automated responses should stop, when a human should take over, how inaccurate or inappropriate output should be handled and how teams can measure whether AI is genuinely improving service. The aim is not maximum automation.
It is a service model in which AI handles more of the mechanical work so people can spend more time solving the problems that require human capability.
