About this session
AI can already draft messages, generate ideas, analyze information, simulate conversations and produce recommendations that resemble highly capable human work. So the useful question is not whether technology can reproduce individual human tasks.
It is where people continue to add distinctive value when AI becomes part of the working environment.
That value often appears where work involves ambiguity, consequences, relationships and meaning.
Someone still needs to decide what problem is worth solving, determine which evidence deserves trust, understand circumstances the system cannot fully see, reconcile competing priorities, take responsibility for a decision, earn another person's confidence, navigate disagreement and decide what should happen next.
Participants therefore develop a portfolio of complementary human capabilities rather than trying to compete with AI at the things machines increasingly do well.
They strengthen judgment and sense-making, interpersonal intelligence, communication and trust, creative problem framing, adaptability and human agency — and learn how those capabilities can work alongside AI rather than in opposition to it.

What’s covered
Understand Where Human Value Moves in an AI World
Every length- Look beyond tasks to capabilityAI may automate parts of writing, research, analysis, administration, ideation or customer interaction without eliminating the broader human responsibility surrounding the work.
- Don't compete with AI at machine strengthsTrying to prove human value by producing information faster, remembering more facts or generating more first drafts becomes less useful as machines improve at those activities.
- Keep accountability visibleAn AI tool can recommend, rank, draft or analyze, but it does not carry professional responsibility for the consequences in the way an accountable person or organization does.
- Recognize the value of context & meaningImportant information is not always contained in the prompt, dataset or document.
Strengthen Human Judgment & Sense-Making
90 minutes and longer- Make judgements when there is no perfect answerMany professional decisions involve incomplete information, uncertainty, competing priorities and consequences that cannot be reduced to one objective calculation.
- Decide what mattersAI can optimize against criteria it is given, but people still make consequential choices about which objectives, values, stakeholders and outcomes deserve priority.
- Question plausible answersAI can produce confident, coherent output that feels convincing before its assumptions or evidence have been properly examined.
- Know when human experience countsExperience can provide pattern recognition and contextual knowledge that is difficult to represent completely in data, but experience can also carry bias and outdated assumptions.
Deepen Communication, Empathy & Human Connection
3 hours and longer- Listen for what isn't in the promptA person's real concern may emerge through hesitation, context, emotion, previous experience or what they find difficult to say directly.
- Use empathy as understandingEmpathy involves trying to understand how a situation looks from another person's position while recognizing that we can never know their experience perfectly.
- Handle difficult human momentsFeedback, conflict, disappointment, uncertainty, negotiation, trust repair and emotionally difficult decisions require more than finding the optimal sentence.
- Build trust through behaviorTrust develops through consistency, competence, honesty, follow-through, discretion, judgment and how somebody behaves when circumstances become difficult.
Create, Adapt & Act With Human Agency
Full day only- Frame the problem before generating answersAI can produce large numbers of possible solutions to the question it is given.
- Bring experience & perspective into creativityUseful creativity is not simply novelty.
- Build adaptability through learningThe specific AI tools people use today will change.
- Keep human agencyConvenient technology can gradually turn assistance into dependence if people stop forming their own view before asking the system, questioning its output or practicing skills themselves.
