About this session
Finance teams spend substantial time turning numbers into information other people can use. Actuals need to be compared with budget and forecast.
Variances need investigation. Assumptions need challenging.
Management reports need commentary. Leaders want scenarios, explanations and recommendations — often while the finance team is also working through close, reconciliations and recurring reporting deadlines.
AI can support much of the work around the numbers. It can help organize financial information, suggest questions, compare structured data, draft commentary, identify patterns worth investigating and turn validated analysis into clearer management communication.
What it cannot do is replace the finance professional's responsibility for whether the numbers, assumptions and conclusions are correct.
Participants learn to anchor AI-assisted finance work in authoritative source information. They distinguish what comes from the financial system or approved model from what AI has interpreted or generated.
They use AI to support investigation while returning to the underlying data whenever a material explanation matters.
The session then applies AI to planning and communication. Participants explore forecasting assumptions, scenarios, sensitivity, executive summaries and management reporting while preserving uncertainty and financial controls.
The aim is not autonomous finance. It is a stronger finance function with more capacity for analysis, challenge, business partnership and decision support.
