Working hours, overtime caps and night-shift safeguards for women
What’s happening
The OSH central rules cap work at 48 hours a week, pay overtime at double rate and limit overtime to 144 hours a quarter. Women may work before 6 a.m. or after 7 p.m. only with written consent, safe door-to-door transport, good lighting, nearby washrooms and drinking water, CCTV and POSH compliance.
