About this session
Everyone at work already has a personal brand: it is what colleagues, clients and recruiters say when your name comes up. The question is whether it is deliberate.
This session takes the awkwardness out of personal branding. It is a practical, grounded way to make sure the people who matter understand what you do, what you care about and what you are good at, and it works for quiet people as well as natural networkers.
Participants start with substance: the two or three themes they want to be known for, written as one line they can say out loud. They then bring their profile into line with it, from the headline and photo to the work they choose to feature.
From there the session moves to sharing: five post formats that suit professionals, ways to turn everyday work into short stories, and commenting as the fastest route to being seen. Boundaries are part of it, so everyone decides what stays private.
The final part builds a rhythm that survives a busy diary: a 30-minute weekly routine, a simple way to tell what is working, and a 90-day plan.
The goal is a personal brand that feels like you on a good day, and that quietly opens doors.

What’s covered
Know What You Stand For
Every length- Find your three themesA personal brand works when it is narrow enough to remember: two or three themes, drawn from the work you already do well and enjoy.
- Write your one lineThe line you can say at a conference, in a meeting or at the school gate: who you help, with what, and why it matters.
- Audit how you show up todayA quick, honest look at your profile, your last ten posts and what a stranger would conclude from them.
- Brand, not self-promotionBeing known for something is different from talking about yourself; the difference is usefulness to the reader.
Make Your Profile Work for You
90 minutes and longer- A headline that says what you doJob titles describe a role; a good headline describes the value, and it is the first thing most people read.
- Photo and banner that fitA clear, recent photo and a banner that supports your themes do more for trust than any paragraph.
- Featured work and proofProjects, talks, articles and results give people a reason to believe the headline.
- Consistent across platformsThe same name, photo, line and themes everywhere, so people recognize you wherever they find you.
Share Your Thinking
2 hours and longer- Five post formats for professionalsThe lesson learned, the how-to, the behind-the-scenes, the point of view and the question: five shapes that fit real work.
- Turn everyday work into storiesMost good posts start as a moment from a normal week: a problem solved, a mistake, a client question, a small win.
- Comment wellA thoughtful comment on the right post reaches more of the right people than most posts do, and takes two minutes.
- Decide what stays privateBoundaries make a personal brand sustainable; everyone chooses what to share about family, health, politics and the employer.
A Rhythm That Lasts
Half day only- A 30-minute weekly routineOne post, five comments and a profile check, in one sitting, is enough to stay visible.
- Measure what mattersConversations, invitations and the right people getting in touch count; likes are a weak signal.
- Awkward momentsNegative comments, a post that flops and the colleague who teases you all have simple, calm responses.
- Your 90-day planThree months of themes, formats and milestones, written down before the session ends.
