EU AI Act: high-risk HR AI rules now apply from Dec. 2, 2027
What’s happening
The AI Omnibus pushed the obligations for high-risk AI systems in Annex III, which includes AI used for recruitment, promotion, task allocation and monitoring of workers, to Dec. 2, 2027. Systems already in use are covered only if substantially modified after that date.
What to do
Use the extra time to list HR AI tools and get vendor documentation, human-oversight plans and worker information ready.
