Spain: mandatory digital working-time recording still pending
What’s happening
A Royal Decree requiring digital working-time records was expected in July and then September 2026. It had still not been published in the official gazette (BOE) by Oct. 13, 2026, and the Nov. 29 election adds uncertainty.
What to do
Check that your Spanish time-recording system can switch to a digital, tamper-proof format quickly if the decree is approved.
