About this session

Each person makes two or three Christmas ornaments to hang at home or on the office tree: a painted wooden slice, a stitched or glued felt shape, a stamped air-dry clay star, and a bundle of dried orange, cinnamon and twine. A craft facilitator leads it step by step, with the materials laid out on the tables and a finished example of each. It suits groups of eight to thirty, needs no skill at all, and is the kind of hour and a half where the room goes quiet, then chatty, then quiet again: an easy way to finish the year together.

In person it needs tables with cover, a sink or wipes nearby and a socket for the low-temperature glue guns; Workbliss brings every material and the facilitator, and the client provides the room. Online, each person receives a kit a week ahead with the same wood, felt, clay, dried fruit, paint and twine, and joins on camera while the facilitator demonstrates on a close-up camera; glue guns stay in person, and online the kit holds a strong craft glue instead. Scissors, needles and glue guns are handled with the facilitator’s instructions, and nobody has to show what they made.
