About this session
Each person makes three or four holiday cards and writes at least one of them: a lettered greeting in brush pen, a collage card from cut and torn paper, and a stamped card with ink pads and festive stamps, on good card with matching envelopes. An illustrator leads it, showing each technique once on a close-up camera, and the last part is for writing: a note of thanks to someone who made the year, a colleague, a client or someone at home. It suits groups of six to thirty and needs no drawing ability.
In person it needs tables with cover and good light; Workbliss brings the card, envelopes, pens, papers, stamps, ink and the illustrator, and the client provides the room. Online, each person receives a kit a few days ahead with the same card, envelopes, a brush pen, papers, a small stamp set and an ink pad, and joins on camera while the illustrator demonstrates. Scissors and craft knives are used with the illustrator’s instructions and knives stay in person. What people write is their own; the note is read aloud only if its writer wants to. A craft hour, not a course.
