About this session
The FITT principle still works. The specifics just need to be yours. Built specifically for the "Running Coach" context, this session stays concrete and respects your team's time. Built for people who haven't worked out in a while and don't want to rebuild from zero.
What your people take away
- Apply posture-supporting moves for laptop workers
- Train how to structure a week when you only have 90 minutes total
- Move the difference between training and exercising — and why it matters past 35
- Build progressive overload in under a minute — just do a bit more than last week
- Progress mobility basics for the lower back, hips and shoulders (where desk workers hurt)

What’s covered
The Foundations
Every lengthThe fundamentals
- Respect recovery — sleep, nutrition and spacing aren't optional infrastructure
- Apply the FITT principle when designing any program — Frequency, Intensity, Time, Type
- Understand progressive overload — small consistent increases, not heroic jumps
- Include Zone 2 cardio — slow enough to hold a conversation, 30+ minutes, two to three times a week
The Moves That Matter
90 minutes and longerPractical exercise
- Alternate push/pull upper-body work to keep shoulders balanced
- Master the six fundamental movement patterns: squat, hinge, push, pull, carry, rotate
- Build thoracic-spine mobility — wall slides, bench t-spine, open book stretches
- Include some kind of carry every week — farmers walks are the forgotten exercise for real-world strength
Keeping It Going
Half day onlyMaking it last
- Deload every 4-6 weeks — lighter week, shorter sessions, lower volume
- Hit 1.6–2.2g protein per kg bodyweight if your goal includes muscle
- Walk daily — the baseline movement that everything else sits on
- Schedule sessions in your calendar like meetings — ad-hoc rarely survives
